Klocktoberfest Doxie Derby
Join us for the 1st Klocktoberfest Doxie Derby 🐾. Klockow Brewing Company and Great Tails Animal Rescue are partnering up to bring the Doxie Derby to Grand Rapids, MN! Come for a lighthearted dachshund race that helps local pets get the second chance they deserve. Every entry supports Great Tails Animal Rescue’s foster program, medical care, and adoption services for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals in Itasca County.
By registering, you’re helping provide safe shelter, essential veterinary care, and paths to permanent homes for dogs and cats in our community. 🎉

Howlin' Halloween Masquerade Ball
Join us for a fun and meaningful evening in support of Great Tails Animal Rescue. The night kicks off at 5:30 p.m. as doors open for a lively social hour featuring a silent auction, appetizer buffet, and live entertainment from a band and DJ. A cash bar will be available from 6–9 p.m.
At 7 p.m., we will share a special presentation highlighting our rescue efforts and the impact your support makes in the lives of animals in our care. Be sure to get your bids in before the silent auction closes at 9 p.m., and stick around as the evening wraps up at 10 p.m.
Guests can also enjoy a costume contest and photo booth throughout the night, adding even more fun to this memorable event.

Santa Paws is Coming to Town!
We are so excited to bring you a fun family fundraiser.
Get in the holiday spirit and support a great cause! Join Great Tails for our Santa Paws event, where your beloved pets (and humans!) can take a one-of-a-kind photo with Santa Claus. This is the "paw-fect" way to create lasting holiday memories while helping us give local animals a second chance. You will receive a 4x6 printed photo for $15 per family/pet(s).
There will be no signups just show up when it’s right for you and your best friends. Let’s have some fun and get this holiday season started!

Kitten season is here, and Great Tails Animal Rescue has welcomed an influx of tiny new arrivals who need our care.
Our Kitten Shower is a way to help us stock up on the supplies these kittens need to grow healthy, happy and ready for their future homes.

Rummage Sale at Klockow Brewing Company
Get ready to shop one of the area's largest indoor rummage sales! 🛍️
Join us July 31 – August 1 at Klockow Brewing Company and browse an incredible selection of items, including furniture, tools, camping and fishing gear, hunting equipment, pet supplies, books, vintage finds, craft items, children's games and puzzles, cookware, sporting goods, and so much more. Whether you're searching for something specific or just love finding a great deal, there's something for everyone.
We're still collecting gently used household items through July 20, so there's still time to help make this event even bigger! Every donated item helps raise funds to care for the animals at Great Tails Animal Rescue.

Join us for a fun-filled community Pet Walk featuring activities for the whole family and their furry friends!

🐾 Treats and fun stations along the walk route
Along the walk, participants can stop at interactive stations including a sit-and-trick challenge with treats and water, pet trivia with prizes, and a pamper station where pets can receive a bandanna or bow. At the end of the walk, participants will receive a swag bag for joining the fun.
Additional activities include a bounce house, Plinko prize game, and Wheel of Fortune game.
Walk Registration:

❤️ Participants under 12: Free
Payment accepted at the door by cash, card, or local check.
For the safety of all attendees, aggressive pets are not permitted. All pets must be harnessed, collared, and leashed at all times, including pets in strollers or backpacks. A liability waiver will be available onsite.

December Adoption Event
Our monthly adoption event is a great opportunity to meet the variety of animals ready for their new homes.
10am - 11am: Pre-approved adoption applicants only
11am - 1pm: Open to the public
Pre-approved adoption applicants get first entry to visit the animals. If you are interested in a specific pet, apply early so you can take your new fur-baby home with you.
